The Graduate Studies Program in Occupational Therapy – (PPGTO) – from the Federal University of Sao Carlos - UFSCar, Master’s and PhD Courses - Stricto Sensu, aims to meet the demands of scientific development in the area, as well as the need for specific graduate education in Occupational Therapy.
Graduate Studies Program in Occupational Therapy develops its activities based on the Major Field of “Assistance Processes in Occupational Therapy”, aiming to disseminate the themes related to the scientific field, focusing on the aspects of human development in normal or adverse contexts and social integration of distinct populations.
The Master course was approved by the Graduate Studies Council - UFSCar on Mar 25, 2009, recommended by CAPES on Sep 28, 2009 and regulated by the University Council - UFSCar on Oct 30, 2009.
The PhD course was approved by the Graduate Studies Council - UFSCar on May 28, 2014, recommended by CAPES on May, 2015 and regulated by the University Council - UFSCar on May 29, 2015.
It is the first Graduate Studies Program in Occupational Therapy in Brazil.
